Get ready to be surprised and delighted! The 14th annual Lone Star Storytelling Festival brings the community together to share the laughter, lessons, and joy that only a well-told story can bring.

Professional tellers Kevin Kling and Don White and student storytellers present stories with humor, honesty, and a lot of heart told.

Friday, October 13: 8–9:30pm Favorite Stories

Saturday, October 14: 5–6pm Afternoon Stories and 8–9:30pm Laughing Night

The student Lone Star Storytellers earn their places on stage through a highly competitive audition process and months of training. These storytellers build confidence, gain public speaking skills, and make memories that last a lifetime.

The way these young performers command the stage and take the audience on journeys that are any combination of scary, heart wrenching, and hysterical is truly remarkable. Audiences delight in watching these local kids become local stars.

Public concerts are held in Council Chambers at City Hall. The fun starts Friday evening, and continues through Saturday afternoon and evening. Performances are recommended for ages 10 and older.

This venue is wheelchair accessible.
