On Sunday, June 17, shower dad with extra affection on this family-friendly outing on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad.

This excursion departs from Grapevine at the Cotton Belt Depot at 1pm. It will arrive in the Fort Worth Stockyards at approximately 2:20pm. You'll have roughly an hour and half to treat dad to lunch or buy him something fun at the many shops in the Stockyards.

The train will re-board at approximately 4:05pm and depart at 4:15pm returning to the Grapevine station at approximately 5:45pm.

During the outing, passengers can expect some extra fun moments on the train including a few special giveaways for some lucky dads.

The railroad is serviced by two Victorian-style locomotives, including Puffy, the 1896 steam locomotive, the oldest continuously operating steam engine in the South, and Vinny, a 1953 GP-7 diesel locomotive.

Most weekends throughout the year, the Grapevine Vintage Railroad travels along the historic Cotton Belt Route between Grapevine and the Fort Worth Stockyards.

The 21-mile trip rolls at a leisurely pace and is perfect for the entire family. First class: $26 (coaches are heated and air-conditioned with cushioned seats.) Touring class: $18.
